Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) non è riuscito ad uscire dalla scia dell’australiano e ha dovuto accontentarsi del secondo posto, mentre Michael Mørkøv (Deceuninck-QuickStep) si è classificato al terzo posto.

Ewan ha coronato al meglio il grande lavoro della sua squadra, la Lotto Soudal, che ha preso le redini della corsa con il treno negli ultimi tre chilometri.
